The Porsche 959, which featured a twin-turbo system and all-wheel drive, was made from 1986 to 1993. It was first developed for Group B rally racing and later made a road legal production car for FIA homologation. The first models had a top speed of 197 mph, with the later 959S – which had even larger turbochargers – reaching an incredible 211 mph.
The Hot Wheels Porsche 959 was first released in 1988 and has been produced in about 48 different variations as recently as 2015. This yellow example with blue stripes and blackwalls is a color-changer that was originally found in the 1989 Automagic Car Wash Set. I picked this one up loose from my Wichita eBay friend.
