The Hot Wheels CAT Bulldozer was first released in the 1980 Workhorses Series. It features rolling tracks and a blade that moves up and down. This Malaysia-cast model with yellow interior is either from the 1982 Workhorses series or might have been the 1990 Collector #34. I found this locally at Bondie’s Antiques last October.
In 1992, the Bulldozer with a black interior was given updated tracks with an extra upper wheel and released as Collector #146. In 1997, cast in China, a handle was added to the side of the blade and the Bulldozer was included in the CAT co-branded Action Machines series, which included a vial of “Clean Dirt Compound”.
This example, with stretched and melted tracks on one side, seems to have been left in the sun too long.
