1968 Ford J-Car

I didn’t appreciate this car very much when I was a kid. I think it was because every time I sent it down the orange track, the back end would flop open and it would fall off the loop. In fact, it was the unusual spoiler-less design of the rear of the car that probably caused a fatal crash of the real Ford J-Car during a test run at Riverside International Raceway in 1966. These days, however, I really enjoy the adventurous and aggressive lines of the ’60s race cars and I’m glad this one has survived the years – especially since it’s one of the original 16 from the first year of Hot Wheels production.
